New York Red Bulls II (1-0-1, 4 pts) will host NYCFC II (2-0-1, 7 pts) for 2025 home opener and first edition of the Hudson River Derby this season on Sunday, March 30 at Sports Illustrated Stadium.

Ready Rosborough
Forward Tanner Rosborough is off to a strong start to the 2025 season. In his first appearance of the season, he scored the game tying goal in stoppage time against Philadelphia Union II. He also was called up to US U-17 training camp and scored in a 4-2 win over Costa Rica. The Pittsburgh, PA native recorded seven goals last season, scoring a goal in five-straight matches between June 30 and August 4, which was the second longest goal scoring streak in franchise history - only Ibrahim Kasule has more (7 in 2023).
Stay Resilient at Goal
In all six MLS NEXT Pro matchups against NYCFC II, Red Bulls II has never been held scoreless. The group has been clutch scoring four goals in the 75th minute or later. In the last matchup on August 4, 2024, midfielder Steven Sserwadda smashed a right footed shot into the bottom right corner in the 92nd minute to send the match to a PK shootout.
Kasule City
Midfielder Ibrahim Kasule leads the charge with three goal contributions in five appearances against the Hudson River rivals. His most notable match was on July 9, 2023, when he registered two goal contributions. the Uganda native dished an assist to Ricardo Gorday in the 79th minute and then a minute later smashed a shot into the bottom left corner despite being a man down.
