New York Red Bulls II Travel Back to Chester to Face Philadelphia Union II
Here are the Three Keys to the Game:
Finding New Leadership
With New York Red Bulls II Captain Kyle Zajec sidelined for the rest of the season due to a fracture in his left foot, Head Coach John Wolyniec will look to his roster to find new leadership on the field. The absence of Zajec will be felt on the field, but other second-year players such as Roy Boateng, Preston Kilwien, and Sebastian Elney will look to fill that leadership role together.
Back to Chester
When New York Red Bulls II make the trip to Chester on Wednesday, it will be exactly two weeks since they defeated Philadelphia Union II at Subaru Park, 5-1. Boateng scored the game-winner off a corner from Zajec. Elney, Omar Sowe, Daniel Edelman, and Deri Corfe all added goals in the victory. With NYRB II receiving some much-needed rest, they will be all recovered and ready to go come Wednesday night.
Player of the Week
Corfe was named Week 5 USL Championship Player of the Week for his two goal and one assist performances against Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Philadelphia Union II. With only three professional games under his belt, Corfe has shown what he can do on the field and will look to continue that against Philadelphia. He has already found some success against Union II, with scoring his first professional goal and assist. Keep an eye out for Corfe come Wednesday night.
