HARRISON, N.J. (August 22, 2019)- New York Red Bulls II will head to Children’s Mercy Park to face off against Swope Park Rangers on August 24, with kick-off set for 8 p.m. ET. The match can be seen live on ESPN+.
NYRB II recorded their fifth road victory of the season on August 21, defeating Nashville SC, 2-1. Defender Kyle Duncan recorded an assist and tallied the game-winning goal in the 71st minute. Jared Stroud scored the equalizer and his team-tying 11th goal of the season.
The first time these two clubs met this season, NYRB II scored three goals to defeat Swope Park Rangers at MSU Soccer Park back in March. Tom Barlow recorded a brace, while Marcus Epps put away the game-winning goal. NYRB II hold a 2-0-0 record against Swope Park Rangers in club history.
Swope Park Rangers currently sit in 18th place in the Eastern Conference with 15 points. They are coming off a 2-1 loss against Atlanta United 2 on the road. Midfielder Felipe Hernandez leads the team with eight goals.
Following Saturday’s match, NYRB II will finish off their road trip, when they visit Indy Eleven on September 4, with kick-off set for 7 p.m. ET. NYRB II will return home on Friday, September 13 for the club’s annual Open House match, with kick-off set for 7 p.m. ET.
