HARRISON, N.J. (August 3, 2020) - New York Red Bulls II will head back to Chester for the second time in two weeks to face Philadelphia Union II on August 5. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m. ET at Subaru Park with coverage available on ESPN+.
NYRB II will be looking to record their third straight victory, after taking down Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, 2-1, on July 26. Midfielder Jake Lacava was taken down in the box in the 95th minute and rewarded a penalty. Midfielder Deri Corfe stepped up and converted the penalty to secure three points for the club. Corfe was awarded USL Championship Player of the Week for his efforts.
The last time these two sides met, NYRB II defeated Philadelphia Union II at Subaru Park, 5-1, on July 22. Corfe, Daniel Edelman, and Roy Boateng all recorded their first professional goals in the victory.
Philadelphia Union II sits at the bottom of Group F with one point, after most recently dropping an away contest against Pittsburgh Riverhounds on August 1.
Following Wednesday’s match, NYRB II will travel to Highmark Stadium for a rematch against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC on August 8, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m ET.
