HARRISON, N.J. (June 5, 2019) – New York Red Bulls II will head on the road to battle Atlanta United FC 2 on Friday, June 7, with kick-off set for 7:30 p.m. ET. The match will be broadcasted live on ESPN +.
NYRB II are coming off of a dominant victory over Bethlehem Steel FC, which saw midfielder Kyle Zajec score his first and second professional goals. Forward Mathias Jørgensen recorded his fourth of the season, while midfielder Jared Stroud tallied his fourth assist of the season.
NYRB II defeated Atlanta United FC 2, the last time these two clubs faced off against each other on July 6, 2018. Six different NYRB II players scored that match including current New York Red Bulls midfielder Cristian Casseres, Jr. Midfielder Chris Lema recorded his first professional goal in the victory.
Atlanta United FC 2 have not won a match since April 13. They are coming off a 1-1 draw against Charleston Battery. Romario Williams is the club’s leading scorer this season with three goals.
