HARRISON, N.J. (August 21, 2020) - New York Red Bulls II will welcome Philadelphia Union II to Red Bull Arena on Sunday, August 23. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. ET, with coverage available on ESPN+.
NYRB II most recently suffered a 2-1 road defeat to Hartford Athletic on Saturday, August 15. Sebastian Elney recorded his team leading third goal of the season. Academy players Alex Bobocea, Bo Cummins, and Tapiwa Shumba made their first professional starts.
This will be the third meeting between the two clubs, with Philadelphia Union II winning the most recent edition, 3-2, on Wednesday, August 5. NYRB II took the first meeting on July 22, 5-1, with NYRB II defender Roy Boateng scoring the game-winner.
Philadelphia Union II is currently fifth place in the group with four points, and most recently suffered a home defeat to Hartford Athletic on Wednesday, August 9.
Following Sunday’s match, NYRB II will go on the road to visit Loudoun United FC on Saturday, August 29, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. ET.
