HARRISON, N.J. (July 15, 2020) - New York Red Bulls II host Hartford Athletic in their first match of the return to play. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET at Red Bull Arena with coverage available on ESPN+.
NYRB II will be looking for their first win of the 2020 USL Championship after losing their opener on March 7 to Tampa Bay Rowdies. The club will be celebrating their annual Futures Night, where they will celebrate the Red Bulls Pre-Academy players with customized kits that will be auctioned off after the match and all donations will go to Wings for Life.
The last time these two sides met, NYRB II defeated Hartford Athletic, 5-1 at Dillon Stadium last season. NYRB II hold the series lead, winning both matches last season including a 4-0 victory at MSU Soccer Park.
This will be Hartford Athletic’s first match of the season, with head coach Radhi Jaidi managing his first match for the club. The match will mark the first time NYRB II has played at Red Bull Arena since June 2, 2018.
Following Friday’s match, NYRB II will travel to Subaru Park to take on Philadelphia Union II on July 22, with kickoff set for 7:30 PM ET.
