HARRISON, N.J. (July 24, 2020) - New York Red Bulls II will return home to Red Bulla Arena to take on Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC on July 26. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. ET with coverage available on ESPN+.
NYRB II are coming off their first victory of the 2020 season, which saw them defeat Philadelphia Union II, 5-1. Deri Corfe, Roy Boateng, and Daniel Edelman all scored their first professional goals. While, Corfe, Jake Lacava, Dantouma Toure, and Kyle Zajec all registered their first professional assists. Goalkeeper Wallis Lapsley also picked up his first professional win in goal.
The last time these two sides met, Pittsburgh defeated NYRB II at MSU Soccer Park, 2-1. New York Red Bulls forward Tom Barlow scored the lone goal for NYRB II that day.
Pittsburgh are currently the Group F leaders with a total of six points, they are coming off their only loss of the season, which they fell in the last minute to Indy Eleven on July 22.
Following Sunday’s match, NYRB II will have nine days before their next match at Philadelphia Union II on August 5, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
