New York is unbeaten in its last three matches, coming off a 3-3 draw against Loudoun United FC on Thursday, September 30. Forward Luther Archimede recorded his first professional goal and his first professional assist within a three-minute span early in the second half. Forward Omar Sowe scored his team-leading seventh goal on a penalty kick in the latter stages of the first half.
The match will mark the conclusion of the regular season series between the two clubs, with New York holding a 2-1-0 edge. Charlotte won the most recent meeting 3-2 on August 10 at MSU Soccer Park.
