New York Red Bulls (8-12-5, 33 pts.) came up short in a 1-2 loss against Chicago Fire FC II (9-7-9, 41 pts.) on Friday night at SeatGeek Stadium.

Chicago Fire FC II opened the scoring in the 2nd minute of the match, when forward Christian Koffi tapped in a shot off of a New York missed clearance.

Chicago added to their lead in the 15th minute, as midfielder Lamonth Rochester slipped in a cross to fellow midfielder Javier Casas who placed his shot in the bottom right corner.

New York bounced back in the 55th minute, after midfielder Aiden Jarvis played a ball wide to forward Rafael Mosquera who dribbled fifteen yards, cut just outside the box and laced a shot into the top left corner.

This was Mosquera’s fourth goal and fifth goal contribution of the season in MLS NEXT Pro play. The Panama native has scored two goals in his last three appearances.

Midfielder Jarvis earned his first career MLS NEXT Pro assist.
