MATCH RECAP: New York Red Bulls II Defeats Toronto FC II 2-0 at MSU Soccer Park

New York Red Bulls (9-12-5, 36 pts.) defeats Toronto FC II (9-11-6, 34 pts.) 2-0 at MSU Soccer Park on Friday night.

New York Red Bulls II opened the scoring in the 8th minute of the match when defender Copeland Berkley whipped in a cross that was deflected by a defender and fell to forward Tanner Rosborough who laced a right-footed shot from the center of the box to the top right corner.

New York added to their lead in the 54th minute, as defender Curtis Ofori drove down the left wing, beat two defenders and chipped in a cross on to the six yard box to forward Mohammed Sofo who headed the ball into the top right corner.

Rosborough scored his sixth goal and eighth goal contribution of the season

Sofo scored his fifth goal of the season and has nine goal contributions thus far in the regular season.

Ofori has tallied his second assist of the season and second goal contribution in his last three appearances.

In the last three matches, New York has scored five goals.
