HARRISON, N.J. (June 2, 2023) – New York Red Bulls II have added Ghanaian forward Mohammed Sofo on loan from Guidars FC, the club announced today. His loan will be until the end of the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro season.
“Mohammed is a young player that we are excited to see grow within our club,” Sporting Director Denis Hamlett said. “His versatility in attacking roles will allow him to fit right into the current squad that we have.”
The 18-year-old is a product of Guidars FC and the JMG Football Academy in Mali. He has started training with Red Bulls II in preparation for the current MLS NEXT Pro season.
"We are happy to have Mohammed on board for the rest of the season,” said Head Coach Ibrahim Sekagya. "His technical ability and aggressive play will be incredibly beneficial for the club during his time here.”
