FULL SCHEDULE BELOW
HARRISON, N.J. (February 8, 2024) – New York Red Bulls II and MLS NEXT Pro have announced the club’s 2024 regular season schedule. The 2024 schedule consists of 28 matches, all of which are against fellow Eastern Conference clubs - spanning from the season opener on March 17 to Decision Day on October 6.
For the second consecutive year, New York will be opening their season against Columbus Crew 2. The match will be played at Lower.com Field on March 17 at 3:00 p.m. ET with streaming available on MLS Season Pass with Apple TV.
A week later, Red Bulls II will host Inter Miami CF II at MSU Soccer Park for the first time in 2024 at 5:00 p.m. on March 24. All regular season home matches in the months of March, April, May, September, and October will have a start time of 5:00 p.m. ET, while matches from June through August will kick off at 7:00 p.m. ET.
In the 28-match schedule, New York will face off against each of the 13 other Eastern Conference teams at least one time. Red Bulls II will have three matchups against Columbus Crew 2, New York City FC II, Philadelphia Union II, Chicago Fire FC II, and Toronto FC II. The club matches up twice against New England Revolution II, Orlando City B, FC Cincinnati II, and Inter Miami CF II. New York will then have one match each against Crown Legacy FC, Huntsville City FC, Carolina Core FC, and Chattanooga FC.
As previously stated, the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season will feature three editions of the New York Derby between New York Red Bulls II and New York City FC II. The sides will face off twice at St. John’s University on April 10 and June 1. MSU Soccer Park will host the third and final clash between the two this season on August 11 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
New York’s longest homestand of the season will span from July 7 to July 28 as the club hosts Atlanta United 2, Orlando City B, and Columbus Crew 2.
Red Bulls II will close out their season on Decision Day at Finley Stadium in Tennessee against Chattanooga FC at 1:00 p.m. ET.
With the addition of Carolina Core FC and Chattanooga FC to the Eastern Conference, there will be a division realignment. New York Red Bulls II will remain in the Northeast Division along with New England, New York City, Philadelphia, Toronto, Cincinnati, Columbus, and Chicago.
Playoffs will begin the weekend of October 18, with the format changing slightly from 2023. This season, eight teams will qualify for the playoffs from each conference, with Seeds No. 1-4 selecting their opponents in the first round (no first round bye for the No. 1 Seed). The team with the highest remaining Seed in each conference will then pick their opponent for the second round from the remaining three teams.
