HARRISON, N.J. (January 19, 2018) - The New York Red Bulls and Montclair State University announced today upgrades to MSU Soccer Park for the upcoming 2018 USL season.
After previously increasing the seating capacity to 3500 in 2017, an additional 1500 seats will be added to bring capacity to 5000 seats at MSU Soccer Park.
In addition to seating, the Red Bulls will build new locker rooms adjacent to the playing field, as well as replacing the turf.
“We are excited to continue our investment at Montclair State University,” NYRB II General Manager Shaun Oliver said. “These investments are important as it relates to the future of our New York Red Bulls II team. These upgrades will enable NYRB II to continue to compete at the highest level of USL for years to come, while also providing Montclair State University and the Montclair community a first-class facility for their teams and students.”
While renovations are made at MSU, NYRB II will play their first six home matches at Red Bull Arena and end with the final 11 at MSU Soccer Park.
As previously announced, the 2018 USL season opener will take place March 17 at Red Bull Arena against Toronto FC II.
The 2018 opener at MSU will take place June 9 against Charlotte Independence.
Single-game tickets will go on sale at a later date.
