2017 was a difficult year for highly-talented New York Red Bulls II defender Andrew Lombard. After signing a professional contract with the Red Bulls in March, Lombard featured in one game for the Red Bulls due to an ongoing injury battle this season.

Following his time in the Red Bulls academy, Lombard attended Ohio State University after attending Northeastern University his freshman year. In his freshman and sophomore seasons, the defender appeared 13 times respectively each year for his side. Lombard also made the highly-respected Top Drawer Soccer Top 100 Prospects list, slotting in at No. 43 on the list.
Back in 2014, Lombard attended the USA U-18 National Identification Camp. Additionally, Lombard recently participated in the USA U-20 National Team camp back in August.
