The final month of the 2022 USL Championship season saw five Red Bulls Academy players see time with Red Bulls II, including another historic debut:
Erick Ruiz – Appeared in three matches, started two, and logged 190 minutes, which led the group during the month. For the season, Ruiz appeared in 11 matches, started six, and accumulated 655 minutes. He started six of the final nine contests.
Alan Rutkowski – Started two matches and tallied eight saves. Rutkowski made his professional debut on October 1 at Phoenix Rising FC, becoming the youngest goalkeeper in club history to appear in a match at 15 years and 341 days old. He is also the fifth youngest player to appear in a match in the eight seasons of the club.
Nathan Worth – Appeared in three matches, started two, and tallied 139 minutes. For the season, he started four of seven appearances and logged 309 minutes. He is one of three 15-year-old players to appear in a match this season for the club, and the second youngest in club history to start a match.
Davi Alexandre – Appeared in two matches, started one, and logged 122 minutes. He played the full 90 in New York’s season finale on October 15 at Tampa Bay. Alexandre, another 15-year-old, appeared in six matches this season, started three, and accumulated 285 minutes.
Arian Recinos – Logged 40 minutes over two appearances. Recinos made 11 appearances during the 2022 season, started four, and collected 445 minutes. He is tied with Ruiz for second among Academy players this season in appearances, trailing only Sam Williams (19).
