HARRISON, N.J. (March 30, 2018) – New York Red Bulls II (1-1-0, 3 points) return home to face the Charleston Battery at Red Bull Arena on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET (LIVE: newyorkredbulls.com/2/live) with Jonathan Yardley and Hunter Freeman on the call.
NYRB II are coming off a 3-1 loss to ATL UTD 2 in their inaugural match in the USL. Brian White recorded his first career USL pro goal, assisted by Jared Stroud.
In addition, Stroud and Academy product John Murphy each made their pro debuts in the match.
In their last meeting, New York defeated Charleston in the USL Eastern Conference Quarterfinals by a 4-0 score line, Charleston’s largest margin of defeat at home in the current USL era.
The Battery opened the season with a 1-0 loss to FC Cincinnati, but followed that up with a Week Two victory over Penn FC.
With 42 shots in two matches, NYRB II sit second in the league behind Fresno FC.
Following Saturday’s match, NYRB II head back out on the road for a meeting with the Richmond Kickers on Saturday, April 7. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. ET.
