After leading the back line in a shutout 3-0 victory over Orlando City, which kept the Red Bulls undefeated on the road this season, Aaron Long has been named to the MLS Team of the Week Starting XI.
Long becomes the fifth Red Bulls player to be in the Team of the Week so far this season, and the third to be featured as a starter.
After four road matches this season, all of which have resulted in wins, New York has had at least one player feature in the MLS TOTW.
With the help of Long, New York only allowed three total shots, none on goal, against Orlando. Their total team XG was 0.1.
This is New York's third clean sheet in their last four matches.
Lewis Morgan, who recorded a goal and an assist against Orlando, was a notable TOTW omission.
