New York Red Bulls Academy teams had a 5-0-0 record this past weekend with teams combining to score 20 goals and only allow nine.
Red Bulls U-15’s played Cedar Stars Bergen on Saturday, which they won, 4-2. Patrick Shaw scored a brace in the first half, while Lenny Aviles and Henry Weston added the other goals. Shaw has now scored 16 goals this season. The U-15’s then faced off against SALA on Sunday. They won, 5-2, which moved their season record to 10-1-1. Aviles, Kyle Evans, Javier Gonzalez, Evan Marques, and Copeland Berkley all scored one goal in the win. The team extended their unbeaten streak to 11 matches.
Red Bulls U-14’s battled Cedar Stars Bergen on Saturday and then faced off against SALA on Sunday. Against Cedar Stars Bergen, they earned their 12th victory, winning the match, 2-1. Nate Worth opened the scoring early in the second half, which was his eight goal of the fall season. Cedar Stars Bergen equalized midway through the second half, but Jaylen Lester answered back and scored the game-winning goal. On Sunday, they defeated SALA, 6-3, for their 13th win of the season. Jeremy Munoz tallied a brace in the match, while Jack Mize, Nelson Fuentes, and Jeffery Bryjak added a goal apiece. Lester scored his third goal of the weekend as well.
