Frankie Amaya came off the bench for the Red Bulls on Saturday night against Atlanta United and made an instant impact.
After coming on as a sub in the 77th minute, Amaya scored with one of his first touches of the match to make it a 3-0 score. It was his first goal of the season and his first since October 1, 2022.
Only 12 minutes later, Amaya put the icing on the cake of a 4-0 rout of Atlanta with his second goal of the match in the 90th minute. It was a historic goal, too, as it was  New York's 1,500th goal in club history across all competitions.
Amaya becomes the seventh different Red Bulls player to be featured in a MLS Team of the Matchday for the 2023 season.
At only 22 years old, Amaya has already made 63 appearances for the Red Bulls, tallying four total goals and four assists.
