The MLS Team of the Week for Week 15 had some New York Red Bulls flair, as both Luquinhas and Carlos Coronel made the Starting XI after a 2-0 victory on Saturday against Toronto FC.
This is Luquinhas' third appearance of the season. His first came after a game-tying goal on the road against Philadelphia, and his second came after a brace in a 4-1 victory against D.C. United.
His highlight reel goal was his sixth in 17 appearances across all competitions for New York.
Luquinhas has also been nominated for MLS Player of the Week for the second-straight week.
This is Carlos Coronel's second appearance in the MLS Team of the Week Starting XI. His first feature came after a clean sheet helped New York hang on for their first win at New England since 2017.
Saturday's shutout win was Coronel's fourth clean sheet of the season, and his 17th clean sheet in an MLS league game as a member of the Red Bulls. Coronel made three saves against Toronto, and kept them off the scoreboard despite a 1.4 expected goals against tally.
This is the first time this season that two Red Bulls players have been featured in the Team of the Week Starting XI.
