After a performance that included assists for New York's tying and go-ahead goal against Inter Miami, Cristian Cásseres Jr. has been named to the MLS Team of the Week for week 27.
Cásseres provided the second assist to Lewis Morgan's game-tying goal in the first half against Miami, and then assisted Daniel Edelman's first career MLS goal that gave the Red Bulls the lead in what ended up being a 3-1 victory.
In his career with the Red Bulls, Cásseres has 11 total assists.
Cásseres is second on the team with five assists and second on the team in total tackles won with 42.
This is the first time that Cásseres has made Team of the Week. He is one of nine different New York players to have been featured on the team so far this season.
