Grant Findlay, New York Red Bulls Academy Manager:
Ironbound Soccer Club has been a long-standing youth partner of the New York Red Bulls Academy for over a decade now, and our aligned missions of positively impacting the local community through an array of programming for both players, coaches, staff, and parent-guardians has really been the catalyst behind the continued success of our flourishing affiliation.
Through the past successes of former ISC players like John Tolkin and Tyler Adams becoming well-established professional and international players respectively, as well as the more recent successes of several prospect ISC players transitioning into the Academy via our Pathway To Pros program, and Ironbound also successfully gaining MLS NEXT status across all age groups U-13 to U-19, we are hopeful for much more continued development, growth, and success over the coming years – both from an elite player development and local community engagement standpoint.
Newark and West Hudson County is the origin and home of soccer of in the United States – so it is only fitting that a vibrant club in the heart of New Jersey’s largest city establish itself now as one of the best youth development clubs in the Tri-State area.
We are therefore delighted to have extended our MLS Youth Academy Affiliation agreement with Ironbound Soccer Club for the foreseeable future.
