After being standout contributors against D.C. United on Sunday night at Red Bull Arena, John Tolkin and Andrés Reyes were named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 27.
John Tolkin picked a perfect time for his first goal of the season, wrapping a free kick around the D.C. wall to break the deadlock and secure a 1-0 win.
Andrés Reyes had the tough task of helping shut down D.C.'s leading goalscorer, Christian Benteke. He did so successfully, not allowing a shot on target in New York's ninth clean sheet of the season across all competitions.
The win over D.C. helped inch the Red Bulls closer to the playoff line with ten matches left to go in the season.
Both Tolkin and Andrés have previously been featured in Team of the Matchdays this season. Both players have been featured two times previously this season.
