After his clutch assist against Chicago Fire FC on April 29, his fourth of the season, defender John Tolkin was named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for matchday 10.
His assist of Cory Burke's 89th minute goal against the Fire helped the Red Bulls rescue a point on the road.
Tolkin's four assists are already a career-high for the defender. He now has nine for his career with the Red Bulls.
That assist total also leads the league for MLS defenders.
The 20-year old Chatham, New Jersey native has made 100 total appearances across his Red Bulls and New York Red Bulls II career. In total, he has three goals and 14 assists.
This is Tolkin's first Team of the Matchday appearance of the season. He becomes the fourth New York player to be featured so far this season.
