After back-to-back 4-1 victories, the New York Red Bulls head back to Florida to visit Orlando City. Kickoff is set to be 4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
Here are the Keys to the Game, presented by Honda:
Continue Positive Streak
The New York Red Bulls got back-to-back wins for the first time since September 2019. The latest two wins are a reflection of a team that’s on a positive streak.
In their latest win over Montreal Impact, the Red Bulls responded back with four goals after conceding a great goal by Bojan Krkic.
The match against Orlando City will be a tough one, but the Red Bulls know that a win will put them closer to the top four positions in the Eastern Conference standings.
Attackers Finding Back of the Net
Tom Barlow got his first MLS career brace on Saturday night, while Danny Royer scored a goal and got two assists. Royer has scored a goal in three of the Red Bulls last four games.
The Red Bulls attackers have been in phenomenal form in the last two games, and Kaku, who scored and got an assist in the Montreal win, highlighted the good moment that his teammates are living.
“It gives us tranquility, so we can take the ball to them,” said Kaku. “Fortunately the goals started falling for him [Tom Barlow], and the same is happening with Danny [Royer], who’s scoring consistently. Hopefully things continue on the same path for the no. 9s.”
Orlando City is Undefeated in Last Eight Games
Heading into Saturday’s game, Orlando City have the best scoring numbers in the Eastern Conference with 25 goals.
Chris Mueller leads the club’s goals and assists categories with seven goals and five assists, followed by Nani with four goals and assists.
Between Mueller, Nani and Mauricio Pereyra, they’ve combined for 67 key passes.
