Back from Break

The Red Bulls are coming back from a two week international break, with their last match being a 4-1 home victory against D.C. United.

After the last international break, New York went on the road and took all three points in a 1-0 victory against New England.

Will they be able to do the same against Charlotte on national television?

Return of the Road Warriors?

For the first time this season, New York is coming off a loss in their previous road match.

Before their 2-0 defeat against Inter Miami, the Red Bulls were 5-0-1 in road matches in the 2022 season.

It will be a tough task getting back to winning ways on the road, as Charlotte FC has made Bank of America Stadium a fortress this season, tallying all five of their wins this season at home.

Oh Captain! My Captain!

With New York captain Aaron Long still on international break with the U.S. Men’s National team, there will be a hole in the back line for the Red Bulls to fill.

The Red Bulls have been without their captain once before this season. Long was on the bench for the 1-1 draw at Philadelphia on May 15.

Against a Charlotte team that will be on the attack and looking for payback after their U.S. Open Cup defeat in May, shoring up the defense without Long will be the key to getting the second win of the year over Charlotte.
