Home Fortress

After two straight weeks on the road, New York finally returns home.

The Red Bulls are currently on a five-match home winning streak across all competitions, and have only lost to NYCFC once at Red Bull Arena since their debut in MLS in 2015.

That streak includes a 3-0 victory over their New York Derby rivals in the U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals

After a rough home form stretch to start the season, the Red Bulls have built a fortress at home. They’ll have to work to defend it against one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.

Testing Taty

The current MLS golden boot leader will be at Red Bull Arena on Sunday.

New York succeeded in shutting down Taty Castellanos and the potent NYCFC attack in their last matchup, but it will be a tough task to do it again.

Castellanos has scored 12 goals in 15 appearances this season, including five in his last three appearances.

When it comes to keeping NYCFC off the score sheet, Taty’s name should be circled first.

Look for Lewis

Lewis Morgan, New York’s leading goal-scorer this season, has been on a fine run of form since the second half of May.

He has a goal or an assist in seven of his last ten appearances, including one in the Red Bulls’ 3-0 Open Cup victory over NYCFC.

If the Red Bulls are going to get on the score sheet against NYCFC goalkeeper Sean Johnson, who they did not face in the Open Cup matchup, look for Lewis Morgan to be involved.
