The New York Red Bulls (3-1-2, 11 pts.) finish up their two-match road trip, with a battle against FC Cincinnati (3-0-3, 12 pts.) on Saturday, April 6 at TQL Stadium.
Here are the Keys to the Game, presented by Toyota:
Look At Lewis
Through six matches, Lewis Morgan has six goals to lead MLS’ Golden Boot race. Morgan continued his torrid start with a converted penalty against Orlando City SC.
Morgan and Dante Vanzeir lead the league in goals and assists, respectively. Both will look to get on the scoresheet -- and for a bit of revenge -- against FC Cincinnati. Morgan has three goals and three assists against FCC in his career.
Roman’s Reign
Roman Celentano, FCC’s starting goalkeeper, has been ruled out for the match. One of Alec Kann, who made one start in MLS (against RBNY in 2023, a 2-1 New York victory), or Evan Louro, formerly of New York, will be called on between the posts.
Celentano, one of the better goalkeepers in MLS, is expected to miss significant time with an injury.
Away Days
Heading into the seventh match of the season, New York will have played five games on the road already. New York has secured a result in four of the five away matches this season, and dating back to last season, seven of the last eight away days.
Cincy has faced off against New York more than any other club since 2019, including five times across all competitions in ‘23. RBNY will be searching for their second win at TQL Stadium.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
