Dax McCarty has announced he will hang up his boots following this season. McCarty appeared nearly 200 times for the Red Bulls across all competitions.

He won two Supporters Shields with the club in 2013 and 2015 and was the captain of the club during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. McCarty has played the most minutes by a midfielder in franchise history with 16,785 and during the 2015 season, he was named to the MLS All-Star roster and was named to the MLS Best XI.

The club will honor McCarty before the match on Saturday night.
