This Friday the New York Red Bulls continue their homestand after their international break. New York will host Nashville SC, kickoff is set for 8 p.m ET.
Here are the Keys to the Game, presented by TriHonda Dealers:
Home, Sweet Home
New York has won three straight games at Red Bull Arena -- 2-0 vs. Chicago Fire FC, 2-0 vs. Toronto FC and 2-1 vs. Orlando City SC.
All of Caden Clark’s goals this season have been scored at RBA.
In the last game, Sean Nealis and Tom Edwards led a defense that kept quiet Orlando City, who came to Harrison undefeated.
Adding more home wins will be a good symptom as the team heads into a busier schedule in the upcoming weeks.
Deal with Absences
Cristian CĂ¡sseres Jr., who’s currently with Venezuela’s National Team participating in the Copa America, won’t be available for the following matches. The Venezuelan midfielder has scored three goals and leads the league in tackles won with 21.
Due to CĂ¡sseres Jr.,’s international duty, another midfielder will have the opportunity to step up.
Head Coach Gerhard Struber still has time to decide who will be given the start in place of El Novillo.
Nashville SC, One of Two Remaining MLS Undefeated Teams
After seven games played, Nashville SC is the only Eastern Conference undefeated team. They’ve drawn five times, most recently against Atlanta United FC.
Nashville SC has yet to win an away game. Their winger Randall Leal leads the league with 15 shots on goal.
Former Red Bull, Alex Muyl, scored his first goal with Nashville SC in the 2-0 win over New England in early May.
