Off the New York Red Bulls 4-0 victory over Inter Miami CF, Lewis Morgan and Dante Vanzeir have both been named to MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchweek 6, presented by Audi.
Morgan bagged a hat trick for RBNY, scoring his first goal in the third minute at Red Bull Arena. Morgan scored again just six minutes into the second half, and finished the hat trick in the 70th minute.
Morgan scored his second career hat trick for the Red Bulls and his first since March 2, 2022, against Toronto FC. Morgan has now scored four career goals against Inter Miami CF.
The Scottish winger is tied for the lead in MLS for goals scored with five and has now recorded three game-winning goals this season, which ranks first in MLS.
Vanzeir assisted all four goals for New York.
Vanzeir became the first player in franchise history to record four assists in a match and the eighth player in league history. The first since March 25, 2023. Vanzeir recorded his first career MLS multi-assist match in the match.Â
The forward has now recorded an assist in back-to-back matches and leads MLS with five assists on the season.
New York will now head on the road to face off against Orlando City SC on Saturday, March 30 at Inter&Co Stadium.
