The New York Red Bulls are back on the road this weekend with another trip west - this time south, to Houston, for a Friday night showdown with the Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET with coverage on UniMas. Viewers can access an English language broadcast via the SAP function. An English radio broadcast will also be available on Red Bulls Radio through www.newyorkredbulls.com

New York will look to rebound after a tough 2-1 loss to Seattle last weekend on a stoppage-time goal. The Red Bulls took a first half lead against the top team in MLS, but were unable to hold on for the win at CenturyLink Field.

It was the first time New York has lost when scoring first (4-1-0) and first time losing when leading at half-time (3-1-0).

Houston enters after earning a 1-1 tie against New York City FC last weekend at Yankee Stadium. The Dynamo struck first before surrendering a penalty kick in first-half stoppage time. Overall, Houston is 4-5-5 on the season, including a 3-3-2 record at home. The Dynamo lost a March game against Orlando City SC at home, and also dropped back-to-back games at BBVA Compass Stadium against Dallas and San Jose in May.

Houston will be home for the first time since May 16 after playing their last two at Los Angeles (1-0 loss) and at New York City.

The Red Bulls have held their own against Western Conference opponents this season, going 1-1-4 including the loss at Seattle.

New York also owns the all-time series with Houston, 10-3-8, but the matches in Houston have been more even, with the Dynamo holding a slight edge. New York is 2-3-5 in H-Town.

This will be the only meeting of the season between the two teams, with Houston making the switch to the Western Conference in the offseason. Last year, the Red Bulls took the series with two wins at Red Bull Arena and a 2-2 draw in Houston on July 4.

After this weekend, New York has a weekend off from league play before hosting a run of games at home - a U.S. Open Cup match against the Atlanta Silverbacks (NASL) on June 16 before returning to MLS play with Vancouver on June 20 and Real Salt Lake on June 24.
