MATCH RECAP, pres. by Provident Bank: New York Lose Tough One in New England

The New York Red Bulls lost 3-2 against the New England Revolution on Wednesday night.

The Red Bulls created two early chances via Frankie Amaya and Dru Yearwood’s attempts. Yearwood’s hit the woodwork, but it was New England who found the back of the net in the 32nd minute, thanks to Tajon Buchanan.

The Revs added a second goal via DeJuan Jones. Spanish midfielder Carles Gil got both assists in the goals.

Gustavo Bou scored the Revs’ third goal of the evening in the 51st minute.

Polish striker Patryk Klimala netted his first MLS goal to get the score 3-1. Fábio got his fifth assist of the season, while John Tolkin got his first career assist.

Andrés Reyes once again scored a goal in Foxborough to put the game 3-2.

Head Coach Gerhard Struber’s substitutions were Wiki Carmona, Jason Pendant and Tom Barlow taking the field for Amaya, Yearwood and Tolkin.

The Red Bulls head to Georgia to play against Atlanta United FC on Sunday.
