The New York Red Bulls fell to the Chicago Fire, 2-1, on the road on Saturday night.

Dennis Gjengaar scored the goal for New York, subbing on at halftime and finding the back of the net minutes later. Dante Vanzier had the assist, out-muscling the centerback before cross the ball to a streaking Gjengaar.

"It's always a good feeling to score and help the team," Gjengaar said. "But it's a better feeling to win the game than score the goal."

Chicago scored twice, with former RBNY player Tom Barlow netting the first in the 31st minute before New York drew even in the second half. Georgios Koutsias scored the game-winner, heading in a recycled ball in the 75th.

"We need to do everything to get three points and this is what I missed today," Head Coach Sandro Schwarz said.

Schwarz said the set piece defending is something they will need to focus on.

"This is something we will have to change immediately," Schwarz said.

New York will host Atlanta United FC on Saturday, September 21 at Red Bull Arena for Noche Latina.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.

"We have the quality to win -- our next opportunity is on Saturday," Schwarz said.

"Hard work. Hard work. Very hard work," Schwarz said is what his team will work on this week in training.
