MATCH RECAP, pres. by Provident Bank: Red Bulls Fall 3-1 in New England

The New York Red Bulls lost 3-1 to New England on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium.

In his RBNY debut, Andrés Reyes scored the first goal of the night early on in the game. His goal against New England was also his first MLS goal.

However later in the first half, Reyes saw his second yellow card, leaving New York down a man.

Gustavo Bou and Tajon Buchanan went on to score for New England to give them a 2-1 lead before halftime.

At the start of the second half, Head Coach Gerhard Struber made two substitutions. Omir Fernandez and Patryk Klimala came onto the field for Frankie Amaya and Fábio.

The Red Bulls’ third substitution saw Cameron Harper take the field for Caden Clark.

The final two substitutions saw Tom Barlow and John Tolkin take the field for Harper and Danny Royer.

Adam Buksa scored New England’s last goal of the evening.

The Red Bulls head back to Red Bull Arena next weekend to host Orlando City.
