Noah Eile has been named to MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 3.
Eile completed 93% of his passes in New York's 2-1 victory on the road against Houston Dynamo FC.
The Swedish U-22 Initiative signing made three clearances and one interception, winning 4/5 ground duels and 2/2 aerial duels. He committed no fouls, with four passes into the final third and five accurate long balls.
Eile spent the last two seasons on loan with Mjallby AIF, where he made 52 appearances and recorded one goal and five assists. He has played over 57 professional matches in his career, including 49 in Allsvenskan, Sweden’s top division. He scored his first professional goal against BK Hacken in a 2-1 victory on October 29.
Eile signed his first professional contract with Malmo FF in December of 2020, he made four career appearances for the club. He made his professional debut in a 3-0 win over Degerfors IF on August 21, 2021. Eile won the Allsvenskan with Malmo FF in 2021.Â
Elie has featured for Sweden’s youth national teams over the years with his most recent appearance coming against Finland for Sweden’s U-21 youth national team in a 3-0 victory. He has made 24 career appearances for Sweden’s youth national teams, including 20 with the U-17’s.
