RB Leipzig Youth Camps Return to New York City

The RB Leipzig Camps were back in the New York City are for a second time, after the maiden experience of 2022 with the cooperation of New York Red Bulls. More than 200 kids took part into the three camps, two regular and an advanced one, between Whippany and Hoboken. Among the days planned around training and learning activities, one full day was shaped around the skills and the figure of Timo Werner.

A renowned player for the German national team and capable of scoring more than 100 goals in the Bundesliga, Werner recently decided the away tie in Mönchengladbach to bring three points from RB Leipzig. And scoring from that angle with a defender on the line wasn’t easy: here’s a small challenge to sharpen your accuracy in front of goal and becoming a real goal getter.

From New York to Leipzig: talents beyond the distance

The “RBL Soccer Camps” saw all participants measuring themselves with different session, managing to work the DFB-Pokal winners and their youth ranks coaching staff. A lesson to remember, shaped around the characteristics of the main players – every day had a different angle to enjoy.

In a conjunct effort with New York Red Bulls, RB Leipzig managed to host 200 kids and awarded two with a special ticket for Leipzig, where they’ll train with the youth sector for a couple of days and watching live both the first Bundesliga match for the women’s team against Essen and the men’s team’s “Top-Spiel” against defending champions Bayern Munich at a full and vibrant Red Bull Arena.

RB Leipzig against the best in Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League

Speaking of which, it’s been a nice start for RB Leipzig, who won the DFL-Supercup and a nice run in the first games of the season in the Bundesliga. And the UEFA Champions League is just around the corner, with defending champions Manchester City coming to town for the third time in the last four years.

European nights already started in Bern, where RB Leipzig snatched a nice 3-1 away win against Young Boys. Now it’s time to hear the UCL anthem back at the Red Bull Arena, against an opponent that always struggled in Leipzig.
