2023 Fall Academy Season Preview: U14 Head Coach, London Woodberry
"I'm looking forward to the opportunity to coach the U14 age group this year, given the exceptional talent and willingness to learn within the team. Following their outstanding performance in Europe over the summer, our aim is to maintain this high level of competitiveness while enhancing the players' tactical comprehension and execution.
With a majority of players from the 2010 birth year and a substantial representation from the 2011 group, we are enthusiastic about our potential in MLS NEXT. Additionally, we are committed to providing valuable experience and opportunities to our younger players.
During the summer, our 2010s had the chance to compete in the Bassevelde U13 Cup Tournament in Belgium, a prestigious event that gathers some of the world's leading academy teams. This competition has earned the reputation of the "Champions League" for U13 tournaments, and the club took pride in being the first MLS club to participate in its 26-year history, where the team emerged as champions. Building on this experience, we are well-prepared to excel in league play and upcoming tournaments, where we can assess our skills against top-tier academies.
Our expectations are high for the 2023/24 season, and we eagerly look forward to pushing this group of players to new heights."
