Luna Perrone caught the eye of the New York Red Bulls players when she appeared in a photo with Tiger Woods -- the first since his accident. But what was really important was that she was wearing an RBNY kit.
Luna, just 10-years-old, is battling a rare bone cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma. The Red Bulls reached out -- and were able to get her a care package of team gear and made sure that when she could, she would be welcome at Red Bull Arena.
On Wednesday night, Luna made it out to the match, and the New York Red Bulls won 1-0.
Captain Sean Davis called her the team's lucky charm, as New York won at home for the first time since June 18.
John Tolkin, who scored his first MLS goal in the match, gave her his jersey after the game.
Kyle Duncan gifted Luna his game-worn boots, while Fábio handed off his jersey as well.
