HARRISON, NJ (May 19, 2022) – The New York Red Bulls will face FC Barcelona at Red Bull Arena on Saturday, July 30 at 7 p.m. ET, the club announced today. The match, presented by Audi, will be the first time the clubs have faced off against each other at Red Bull Arena.
As part of their membership, tickets will be included for all Red Members, who will have access to their same seats for this match. In addition, the evening will conclude with a special post-match fireworks show.

The La Liga powerhouse currently sits in second place with 73 points. The club features top international players, including Spanish mainstays Gerard Piqué and Sergio Busquets, as well as Spanish youngsters Pedri and Ansu Fati, Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen. Barcelona is led by manager Xavi Hernandez, who played for the club from 1998 to 2015. He led Barcelona to four Champions League titles in 2006, 2009, 2011, and 2015.
This will be the third time in franchise history that FC Barcelona will play the New York Red Bulls in a friendly; the first meeting occurred on August 12, 2006 and the second on August 6, 2008, both at Giants Stadium. The 2006 tilt marked the largest crowd for both a Red Bulls game and match involving an MLS side at the time, with an attendance of 79,002.
Since the inaugural match in March 2010 against Brazilian side Santos, Red Bull Arena has hosted some of the top clubs in the world including Chelsea FC, Manchester United, Manchester City FC, Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich, SL Benfica, Club America, Paris Saint Germain, AS Roma and Juventus. Additionally, international squads including the United States Men’s and Women’s National Teams, Ecuador, Colombia, Czech Republic and Turkey have played at the Harrison, NJ –based soccer venue
