Get to know who the Red Bulls will be playing in their upcoming matchup:
How They’re Doing
CF MontrĂ©al has had a season to forget so far in 2023.Â
After an impressive second-place finish in the Eastern Conference in the 2022 regular season, Montréal currently sits at the bottom of the conference.
They have one win on the season, a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory against Philadelphia, but have been held scoreless in every other MLS match.
In their last four matches, they have been outscored 10-0.
Head-to-Head History
In 28 total matches, New York and Montréal have almost evenly split the series, with the Red Bulls owning a 13-12-3 advantage.
The series, however, has heavily favored the home side. The Red Bulls have only won twice on the road against Montréal, with the latest coming last season.
Player to Watch- Forward Romell Quioto
The Montréal forward was a breakout star, and has been one of the major reasons behind their successful season so far.
Before the 2022 season, Quioto’s previous goal-scoring high for a season was eight in 2021. He put up 15 goals and six assists last season, and has two of Montréal’s three goals so far this season.
If anyone is going to spark the dormant Montréal attack, it’s probably going to be Quioto.
