Red Bulls midfielder Tim Cahill came up big for the Australian National Team Tuesday at ANZ Stadium in Australia, scoring the first of the match for his side and creating countless chances that came within inches of finding the back of the net. His tally in the 52nd minute help the Socceroos rally back from a 2-0 deficit to tie Oman, 2-2, in the World Cup Qualifying match.
Oman manager Paul Le Guen had this to say about Cahill's performance:
"When you are 2-0 up you hope for more, you dream. But Cahill is one of the best players in the world in the air, he has a great jump and moreover he is a great guy. We found it hard to defend against him in the second half."
