New York Red Bulls II returns home on Wednesday night to host the Harrisburg City Islanders at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET, with coverage available on NewYorkRedBulls.com.

NYRB II improved to 7-1-3, and a perfect 5-0-0 on the road, last weekend with a 1-0 win at Bethlehem Steel FC. It was the third consecutive 1-0 win for the team, and the seventh shutout this season.

Brandon Allen scored in the eighth minute, and Ryan Meara earned the clean sheet to help NYRB II equal its road win total from last season. The goal was Allen’s team-leading fourth of the season.

NYRB II, led by Meara, has allowed just six goals through 11 games, tied for fewest in USL with Sacramento Republic FC.

This will be the first meeting of the season with Harrisburg, who enter in 10th place in the Eastern Conference standings with a 4-7-1 record. The City Islanders took both meetings at Red Bull Arena last year, but New York beat Harrisburg on the road on July 18, 2-0.

2016 records:

  • NY: 7-1-3; 2-1-3 at home
  • HCI: 4-7-1; 1-5-0 on the road

All-time series: NY is 1-2-0, lost both home meetings against Harrisburg last season, but took a 2-0 win in Harrisburg
