New York splits a point with Rochester
New York Red Bulls II tied the Rochester Rhinos on Sunday afternoon at Red Bull Arena, 0-0. The match was a grueling battle, which featured vital saves from both goalkeepers and one straight red card issued to Steevan Dos Santos in stoppage time.

The game began with Red Bulls II goalkeeper Ryan Meara getting sidelined with an injury in the 9th minute after charging off his line to make a clearance. Meara was replaced by Rafael Diaz, who was a bright spot in the match for Red Bulls II, totaling five saves and keeping Rochester off the scoresheet.
The scoreless draw was the club's third consecutive clean sheet. Red Bulls II has not conceded a goal in the last 315 minutes.

Rafael Diaz named to USL Team of the Week
Goalkeeper Rafael Diaz was been named to the week four USL Team of the Week for entering Sunday’s game as a substitute in the 12th minute, making five saves and earning a clean sheet.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper from Rockaway, N.J., was playing in his first game of the 2016 USL season and came up big to help NYRB II earn a point at home.

On Friday, April 22, New York Red Bulls II face Wilmington Hammerheads FC on the road at 7 p.m. This is the first of two matchups with Wilmington this season.
Last season, Red Bulls II and the Hammerheads faced off four times and split the season series, 2-2-0. In the clubs’ previous meeting on Aug. 29, 2015, New York won at home, 2-0. Goalkeeper Rafael Diaz, who may start in the place of Ryan Meara on Friday, played one game against Wilmington last season and earned a clean sheet in a 1-0 win on June 13, 2015.
Wilmington enters the match with a 2-1-1 record. Former Red Bulls Homegrown Player Mael Corboz, who signed with Wilmington prior to the USL season, leads the team with two assists.
