Dantouma Toure

EAST HANOVER, N.J. (February 13, 2020) – Dantouma Toure has been called in to the U.S. U-17 Youth National Team for the UEFA Development Tournament, U.S Soccer Federation announced today.

“It feels really good to get my first call-up since I tore my ACL in 2018. It feels amazing to get called up this time. It will be a great atmosphere and I am really looking forward to going to England,” Toure said.

Toure, 15, will be participating in his first competition with the U-17’s after being invited to a training camp two years ago. Since joining Red Bulls Academy in 2018, he has appeared in 20 matches and recorded six goals.

“We are extremely happy that Dantouma had been called into the U.S. U-17 YNT for their upcoming matches. He has been working very hard to improve his back to goal play and it is great that his efforts have been awarded,” Academy Director Sean McCafferty said. “Dantouma has had a very impactful season with the U-19’s to this point, which is especially pleasing considering he is still so young.”

The UEFA Development tournament will take place from February 15 to February 25 at St. George’s Park in Burton Upon Trent, United Kingdom. The U-17’s will be facing Denmark, Spain, and England.
