HARRISON, N.J (April 21, 2025) – 10 players from the Red Bulls Academy are set to participate in the 2025 Wings Cup at RB Leipzig’s academy training grounds in Leipzig, Germany from April 22 to April 24.
The competition will feature top talent from Red Bull Bragantino, New York Red Bulls, FC Salzburg, RB Leipzig, PSV Eindhoven, and Southampton FC.
The tournament will have a unique format. On the opening day, players will play small-sided games in which both their teammates and opponents will change after each match. On top of wins and draws, points will also be awarded for individual performances with help from live data collection, in game statistics, and performance-related data.
On day two, players will play for their respective clubs and face off against each other in small-sided games. However, for these matches, there will be special rules like fixed offside lines, rolling substitution and being able to kick or dribble the ball back into play from the sidelines to increase pace and flow of play.
