New York Red Bulls Academy teams had a 6-0 record on the weekend, scoring 35 goals and only allowing five.
Red Bulls U-15’s defeated Ironbound Soccer Club, 6-0. Patrick Shaw recorded a hat trick and brought his season total up to 14 goals. Copeland Berkley, Lenny Aviles, and Whye Li Ong each added a goal in the match. With the victory, it brings the U-15’s record to 8-1-1 and they are currently on a nine-match unbeaten streak.
Red Bulls U-14’s played Players Development Academy (PDA) on Saturday and extended their unbeaten streak to five matches with an 8-1 win. Pipeloore Olanrewaju scored his first hat trick of the season in the first half, while Nathan Worth added a brace. Jaylen Lester, Jeremy Munoz, and Jeremiah White recorded a goal apiece in the second half to claim victory for the U-14’s.
Red Bulls U-13’s had two games this weekend, starting with defeating PDA on Saturday, 8-2. Adri Mehmeti and Jack Mize each had hat tricks in the match. Mize brought his goals total up to 19 this season. Gil de Souza and Nicholas Carrascosa each scored a goal in the second half. On Sunday, the U-13’s claimed victory over Ironbound. Matthew Dos Santos and Sacha Oliveira recorded goals in the first half. Oliveira added another in the second half to complete his brace. Henryk Telakowski and CJ Dike rounded out the scoring in the match.
Red Bulls U-12 Grey defeated PDA, 2-0, on Saturday. In the first half, Jonathan Condor recorded the first goal of the match to give the U-12 Grey a 1-0 lead. Late in the second half, Riku Hirato scored the game-winning goal to grab the three points for his team. Red Bulls U-12 Red played Ironbound on Sunday and won, 6-1. Luke Lee tallied a hat trick, while Hudson Sherwood, Paul Sokoloff, and Darius Millington added goals in the match.
Red Bulls Academy teams recorded five hat tricks during the weekend from Lee, Mize, Mehmeti, Olanrewaju, and Shaw. They moved their overall academy record to 55-13-6.
