New York Red Bulls II defender Janos Loebe made his professional debut this past weekend against Loudoun United FC and he recorded his first assist.
Learn more about Janos Loebe below:
Q. What is different from playing in the United States compared to when you were in Germany?
LOEBE: “In Germany the games are very tactical and technical, in the states I think it’s more straight forward and more physical.”
Q. How did it feel to be selected in the MLS SuperDraft?
LOEBE: “That's something you can't describe because it's just an unbelievable feeling. Sitting in the crowd and hear them calling your name (also in the first round) was breathtaking. The walk onto the stage was one of the longest I've ever had.”
Q. What is your favorite pre-game music?
LOEBE: “I don't have specific pre-game music. I like rap but in the summer, I enjoy house music as well.”
Q. What do you like to do when you’re not training or playing soccer?
LOEBE: “I like to go to the city and meet people. I also enjoy playing other sports on my off days like golf or tennis.”
Q. Was there a player that you grew up admiring when you were younger?
LOEBE: “I can't think about one specific player when I was a kid but in the last 5 years I really like watching Antoine Griezmann.”
Q. Who is your favorite club to support?
LOEBE: “I'd have to go with Borussia Dortmund.”
Q: If there was a 3v3 tournament, who would be your two picks for your team from the club?
LOEBE: “That's a tough one but I would go with Marc and Andy. We played a soccer tennis tournament in Florida and Marc, Andy and I did pretty well, and it was lots of fun. Also, the German connection is an advantage.”
