The New York Red Bulls will deploy Elias Manoel up top as they take on New York City FC at Yankee Stadium in his first New York Derby on Saturday at 1 PM ET.
Behind Elias will be Lewis Morgan, Caden Clark and Luquinhas.
Cristian Cásseres Jr. and Daniel Edelman will lock down the defensive midfield.
Casseres, Jr. scored his second goal of the season on September 10 against New England and the 13th of his MLS career. The Venezuelan international has recorded a goal or an assist in three straight matches. Since the beginning of August, Casseres, Jr. has tallied five assists, which is tied for the most in MLS during that timespan. Casseres, Jr. has recorded two goals and two assists in eight career matched against NYCFC.
John Tolkin and Kyle Duncan will serve as wingbacks, with Aaron Long and Sean Nealis at centerback. Carlos Coronel will start in goal.
Head Coach Gerhard Struber will have Ryan Meara, Hassan Ndam, Andrés Reyes, Dylan Nealis, Steven Sserwadda, Frankie Amaya, Omir Fernandez, Wiki Carmona and Tom Barlow available as subs.Â
